Critical Event Reporting (CER)
Critical Event Reporting, or CER, alerts you when a sensor on the truck reports something that could affect safety. This can be as simple as a hard braking event, or, with added equipment, lane departure and roll stability warnings, following time violations, and forward collision warnings.
When a CER event happens, information is sent about the state of the truck, such as where it was, how fast it was going, and other important information. Like a plane’s black box, it captures this information starting five minutes before the event and ending two minutes after it.
Drivers can also manually trigger an event if something happens and they would like to save their driving information for review later.
