The International Fuel Tax Agreement (or IFTA) is a tax collection agreement by and among the 10 Canadian provinces and the 48 continental United States to simplify the reporting of fuel use by motor carriers that operate in more than one jurisdiction. Omnitracs One is designed to make the reporting of IFTA tax information seamless to your local jurisdiction.
  • The Fuel Screen
The Omnitracs Tax Manager interface is optimized to keep you on a single screen, eliminating the distractions of having new windows or browser tabs opening whenever you click your mouse.
  • The Distance Screen
The Distance screen is a list of Distance records currently entered in the Omnitracs system.  From here, users can view distance records, add distance records, or edit existing records.
  • The Reports Screen
As commercial motor vehicles buy fuel, any fuel tax paid to the states is credited to that licensee's account. At the end of the fiscal quarter, the licensee completes the fuel tax report, listing all miles traveled in all participating jurisdictions and all gallons purchased in all jurisdictions.
  • The Tax Filings Screen
Carriers prepare quarterly IFTA tax returns to their base jurisdiction. At the end of each month, the base jurisdiction sends a transmittal report to all other member jurisdictions. The base jurisdiction processes and sends all refunds to the licensees and issues assessments for any taxes due.
