QTRACS/QHOS Normalization Process

Before migrating to another application, customers may need to normalize/merge their entity (driver and vehicle) data between QHOS and QTRACS. The normalization/merge process ensures that all vehicles and drivers are defined in QTRACS with the highest-quality attribute values.

There are separate processes for vehicles and drivers. The process can be run in validation mode or update mode.

The process will:

  • pull data from QHOS (both modes)
  • validate the QHOS data (both modes)
  • generate a report on QHOS attributes, validation errors, and merge status (both modes)
  • merge data to QTRACS (update mode)

The report will be distributed to the email address(es) provided upon submission.

The process can be run an unlimited number of times. It should be run in validation mode until all attributes pass validation. The customer may choose to ignore test ot unused entities, but only entities with valid attributes will be merged to QTRACS.
