Navistar 2019/2020 trucks:
The RP1226 connector will only be installed in new International trucks that have been pre-wired (IVG only – not available for XRS). If not prewired, the “Y” cable with the green 9-pin connectors should be used to connect at the diagnostic connector location.
The 2019 International Trucks manufactured before 8/3/2019 had the pre-wired RP1226 connections linked to the 250k J1939 bus which occasionally caused problems by shutting down bus traffic when IVG was waking from sleep mode. Disabling ignition sense CDEF 444 helped keep the 250K bus alive in these early pre-wired International trucks. Navistar has changed the connection point to the 500K J1939 bus – where bus traffic will not shut off now.
